Spring in North Texas is the best time of the year to focus on the abundant variety of edible wild greens and flowers.  It’s a time when you can eat bowls of wild green salads topped with edible flowers, drink fresh green smoothies, and wild-harvest nutritious and medicinal herbs and flowers for herbal teas. Flowers add variety to our diets, and most modern people have no idea how many species of flowers are edible, delicious and nutritious, and also add a colorful feast for the eyes to our springtime meals. Wild greens and flowers are more nutrient dense than their cultivated counterparts, and offer a variety of healthful phytonutrients and other medicinal elements.

You will see and learn over a dozen of the best wild edibles in our area, along with identification tips and the opportunity to try them out for yourself! Hands-on experience is the best way to learn and remember what you learned in the long term, so it can serve you later as you continue your foraging adventures.

Price:  $50 per adult, $80 per couple, $20 for teens, $10 for children under 13

The price includes 2.5 hours of hands-on experience foraging during our class, learning plant identification, the opportunity to ask questions, and a copy of Courtney’s 63-page ebook, North Texas Edible Wild Plant Basics.

Cancellation policy:  You may cancel your reservation up to 48 hours prior to the class time, and will receive a refund minus a 20% cancellation fee.  Alternately, you may roll your class reservation over to a future class (whether currently scheduled or not) with no penalties.  Since our classroom is outdoors, classes will occur in a variety of weather conditions, including heat, cold, and light rain, but we will reschedule class in cases of heavy rain or thunderstorms.  By purchasing a ticket to this class, you are agreeing to this policy.
